Our Aim:

The Deakin University Commerce & Law Society, is a group that consists of students from Deakin University, with particular interests in the fields of Commerce, Managment & Law. This is a society with its base at the Warrnambool Campus but any student of Deakin University are invited to join. The vision of the Society is to be an independently student run organization that is focused primarily on aiding students, whilst contributing to the University and community of Warrnambool. The Society aims to establish links between the students and the faculty, facilitate business opportunities such as internships, employment and work experience for students with local firms and businesses.

DUCLS began in 2004 as the Deakin University Commerce Society, it later became the Deakin University Commerce and Law Society when law courses were introduced at the Warrnambool campus. The Society is almost wholly faculty based society with no affiliation to the Deakin University Student Association.‘DUCLS’ is funded primarily by student membership, student contributions, and sponsorship from local businesses in the Warrnambool area.
